Charity provides support to vulnerable children and their families

Centres run by charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve have had to be temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But the Canning Town organisation has been providing as much support as they can to the most vulnerable children and their families during the lockdown period.
The picture collages here show some of the the support we have been able to give.

AAA founder Kevin Jenkins said: “We’ve been preparing and delivering support parcels to our most vulnerable families – including helping around 112 children, and of course we have been adhering to social distancing rules.”
The support parcels consist of core non-perishable foods and household items, books, games, toys, arts and craft materials and activity sheets.
As well as regular calls and check-ins the charity has been pulling together and delivering weekly food and support packages for those who most need them.

I’m proud to be a trustee of this charity and to support our work in this area we’re now welcoming donations of non-perishable foods and household items, new (or nearly new) books, games and toys and second-hand laptops or tablets that we can loan to children during the lockdown and then use in our future work.
