Tenpin bowlers strike out for charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve

The Sunday Doubles League at Rollerbowl, Romford, drew the curtain down on their season on Sunday night – and though 12 bowlers picked up honours, charity was the winner.

The league was raising money for charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve and its work with children and young people.

The league would like to thank Rollerbowl Bowling General Manager Alfred Hasanaj and his team for all their efforts. Alfred presented the prizes.

The bowlers raised £425 on the night for the Newham charity. There were two raffles, including one for a bowling ball signed by leading England international bowler Dom Barrett.

It’s the 40th event the bowlers have staged in their 28-year history to raise funds for charites. Since 2000, we have raised over £14,000 for four different charities.
